September 1, 2011:  Through the recent acquisition of a new Permanent Housing Grant, U.S. VETS-Barbers Point was awarded funding for 13 studio units and 4 family units.

Ending homelessness among the Hawaii veteran population is an ongoing task, but we have been able to place one family and three single veterans into housing.

With help from the Barbers Point Outreach Team, veterans, Jim Carey and Brian Cahill, moved into their studios earlier this month.
