Rotary Club & Weinberg Foundation Present Gift to U.S.VETS

Larry Williams and Darryl Vincent-Larry Williams, USVI-Las Vegas Program Manager, who was in town visiting the Barbers Point site, was also in attendance of this momentous occasion.
On November 29, 2011, the Rotary Club of Honolulu presented a $10,000 grant from the Harry and Jeanette Weinberg Foundation to U.S.VETS-Barbers Point. Dr. Michael Leineweber, RCOH President Elect, expressed elation at the grant award. “We are proud to participate in the honorable work of U.S. VETS. We applaud the agency’s vision that no veteran should suffer the indignity of homelessness. Our Club is directing its efforts this year at helping to alleviate homelessness in Hawaii, particularly among veterans. The partnership with the Harry and Jeanette Weinberg Foundation and U.S. VETS allows us to do just that.” With more than 200 members, RCOH is the oldest and largest Rotary Club in Hawaii.

Darryl Vincent at the Honolulu Rotary Club- On Nov 29th, Darryl Vincent appeared at the RCOH weekly meeting to accept the $10,000 check.

Honolulu Rotary Club- On October 22nd , 51 RCOH members and friends were at USVI-Barbers Point to paint the dining hall and add landscaping.
