U.S.VETS-District of Columbia
Ambassador Yashar T. Aliyev and Colonel Eldar N. Ismayilov, of the Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan visiting United States Veterans Initiative D.C. to make a donation in memory of National Leader Heydar Aliyev.
U.S.VETS - D.C. began providing services in 1997 through the National Collaboration for Homeless Veterans AmeriCorps Program. The Washington D.C. location serves 43 veterans daily.

U.S.VETS-Washington D.C. resident Stanley Coward had the honor of throwing out the first pitch at the opening of an Orioles game on May 6th. Stanley represented U.S.VETS at the Oriels game to help spread the word about community based organizations serving local homeless and at-risk veterans. There are more than 2,000 homeless veterans in the Baltimore/Washington Area.
