    The United States Veterans Initiative (U.S.VETS) and The Home Depot® Foundation today announced the 2012 Veteran Housing Rehabilitation project to expand housing for homeless and low-income veterans in the District of Columbia and St. Louis, Missouri. As part of its “Celebration of Service” initiative to honor U.S. military veterans, The Home Depot® Foundation has awarded U.S.VETS $400,000 to support the launch of its newest site in St. Louis and increase the capacity of its location in the Nation’s capital.
  • HDFLogoColor Home Depot Foundation: Celebration of Service Initiative at Inglewood Site - U.S.VETS-Inglewood site revitalization made possible by the Home Depot Foundation's 2011 Celebration of Service Initiative - a nationwide charge to work side-by-side with and for military veterans. 300 Volunteers provided a much-needed facelift to U.S.VETS 400+ room residential facility serving homeless and at-risk veterans in Los Angeles.
  • Three-Square-Logo Three Square Grant Outfits Las Vegas Facility with Kitchen Equipment - Awarded the ACE grant from Three Square for $3,715, U.S.VETS-Las Vegas was able to purchase kitchen equipment and supplies for it's newest expansion, The Radcliff which houses 25 veterans. Three Square is a community collaborative partnership with the gaming industry, businesses, non-profit agencies, food distributors, higher education institutions, the CCSD, governmental entities, the media and thousands of volunteers to efficiently and effectively serve food and hope to the hungry.
  • VAlogo SSVF Grant Helps U.S.VETS Provide Services to At-Risk Veteran Families -
    Under the new Supportive Services for Veteran Families Program, U.S.VETS has been awarded a $700,000 grant to provide more supportive services to very low-income Veteran families in Los Angeles and Las Vegas. U.S.VETS will be partnering with Beyond Shelter and Legal Aid Foundation of Los Angeles and Family Promise, Women’s Development Center, and HopeLink in Las Vegas.
  • WeingartUniHealthAhmansonGreen Foundations Provide Funding for Critical New Programs for Veterans -
    The Ahmanson Foundation and The Green Foundation join the Weingart and UniHealth Foundations in supporting the work of U.S.VETS to grow and create programs that assist recently returned Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans struggling with Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), depression, and a lack of employment opportunities. The Josephine S. Gumbiner Foundation has also given funding to assist U.S.VETS in providing more comprehensive services for women Veterans with children.
