Hernán Luis y Prado
Founder, Workshop for Warriors

Hernán Luis y Prado founded Workshops for Warriors after serving in the United States Navy for fifteen years as Surface Warfare Officer and Hospital Corpsman. He had four combat tours of duty in Iraq and Afghanistan, and is a graduate of the Navy Surface Warfare Officer School.

Mr. Luis y Prado began Workshops for Warriors out of his garage in 2008 after seeing too many of his comrades failing in their transition to civilian life. From the organization’s humble beginnings, it has grown to the ½ acre campus that it has occupied since 2011 and that has produced 117 graduates.
