The Texas Veterans Commission has awarded U.S.VETS – Houston with $200,000 to provide mental health counseling to veterans.
Individual and group counseling can be hugely beneficial to veterans who are navigating the difficult transition between military and civilian life. With this new grant, U.S.VETS – Houston will be able to hire two new full-time counselors to help vets as they work to meet their goals of employment, stable housing and independence.
This program is supported by a grant from the Texas Veterans Commission Fund for Veterans’ Assistance. The Fund for Veterans’ Assistance provides grants to organizations serving Texas Veterans and their families.
