U.S.VETS is proud to partner with the Coachella Valley Housing Coalition and March Joint Powers Authority to build 138 units at March Air Reserve Base, home to U.S.VETS – Inland Empire. Once completed this new project, called March Veteran Village, will expand affordable and transitional housing for low-income and homeless veterans in Riverside, one of the places it’s needed most.
Representatives from U.S.VETS and Coachella Valley Housing Coalition recently met up at the construction site to check out the progress.
“Through the March Veteran Village, we are leading the latest evolution of low-income permanent housing, by providing onsite supportive services with low barriers that will help our veterans feel wanted, loved and cared for by its community,” says Eddie Estrada, Executive Director for U.S.VETS – Inland Empire.
“The expansion will provide local veterans and their families with permanent housing, improve access to supportive services including medical and mental health, and provide opportunities to heal, reconnect, and succeed.”
Progress is well under way! Stay tuned for news and more information as we draw closer to the grand opening of March Veteran Village in 2018.
