Thank you to our island community for the outpouring of Christmas spirit for program residents of U.S.VETS – Waianae, Pai’olu Kaiaulu. It took ‘many hands working together’ to ensure that every child and every household had a special Christmas at Pai’olu Kaiaulu. A few of the many hands, such as Chablis Paris Mathai & family, as well as coworkers and friends from Ka Waihona O Ka Na’auao Charter School in Waianae, as they assisted Santa and his elves (as well as U.S.VETS’ elves), to sort and package the hundreds and hundreds of gifts received on behalf of the residents of Pai’olu Kaiaulu. Ka Waihona O Ka Na’auao Charter School held a food drive and hygiene supplies drive which augmented the lovely Christmas packages presented to each household.
Other notable organizations not shown that provided gifts to U.S.VETS’ program residents were The Ladies of Na Wahine Hui O Kamehameha (Christmas gifts for keiki), The Salvation Army Ray & Joan Kroc Center (Angel Tree Gifts), Location’s Foundation (Christmas Luncheon and Gifts), John A. Burns School of Medicine H.O.M.E. Project (Gifts for all children), and Granny Grace’s Christmas (Gifts and Christmas Activity).
Thank you one and all for making Christmas so special for U.S.VETS – Waianae, Pai’olu Kaiaulu!
