Volunteers Brighten Up U.S.VETS – Waianae

U.S.VETS – Waianae was the recipient of a wonderful community service project on Saturday, March 5, 2016, from volunteers participating through the group Random Acts.

They were joined by other community volunteers, including members from BOMA (Building Owners and Managers Association), the VA Vet Center of Kapolei, members of the VFW, and Wounded Warrior Project, to put up a much needed fresh coat of paint in our housing facility.

Approximately 60 volunteers arrived before 9:00 a.m. and literally began “attacking” the painting project with enthusiasm and determination- in fact, they completed their project so handily that they even had time to paint additional areas on site including the conference room and ADA bathroom!

U.S.VETS – Waianae has adopted the catch-phrase “Hana Like Kakou” (Many Hands Working Together) which the group truly exemplified- we offer all of the volunteers our heartfelt thanks for a job well done with Hana Like Kakou Spirit!!
