On August 28-30, U.S.VETS Executive Directors from each of the 11 sites joined other senior staff members for the semi-annual Executive Director’s conference. The conference provided an opportunity to discuss the issues facing veterans across the country, and the various ways U.S.VETS is meeting their needs. As the veteran population continues to evolve, new programs, policies, and practices must be determined so that veterans at each U.S.VETS site receive assistance that best meets their needs. Led by President & CEO Steve Peck, and by Chief Operations Officer Darryl Vincent, the semi-annual Executive Directors conferences enable U.S.VETS leaders from the sites and the National office to keep the whole organization focused on its goal of serving veterans.
Each Executive Director conference is held at a different U.S.VETS site, to give all the leaders of the organization an opportunity to see first-hand the work being done by U.S.VETS across the country. This conference was held in beautiful Prescott, Arizona. As the only site located on a VA Medical Center campus, U.S.VETS – Prescott is a unique facility. The recently opened Career Center provides resources for veterans in northern Arizona looking for employment.
