Breaking Ground on New Housing for Veterans

 In Phoenix

This year, U.S.VETS – Phoenix celebrated Veterans Day in a big way. On November 10, Cloudbreak Communities officially broke ground on the new Victory Place IV campus.1110141243a1110141240b

Among those in attendance at this special event were several dignitaries, as well as those influential in making the tax credit construction project a reality, including Phoenix Mayor Greg Stanton, Council Woman Kate Gallego, Director of Arizona Dept. of Housing, Mike Trailer, Tim Cantwell CEO Cloudbreak Communities, Brad Bridwell Director of Community Development, and Robert Barnes, and Deputy Director Arizona Dept of Veterans Services.

The new project will create 96 units of affordable permanent housing with 30 units earmarked for the most vulnerable and chronically homeless.  U.S.VETS – Phoenix will provide ongoing navigation and service delivery to the project through funding by the United Way.  The campus is expected to be completed by November 2015.
