Special Thanks to Logan Atamian and Family

 In Barbers Point

It all began with a phone call.

Mrs. Jory Atamian heard about U.S.VETS and wanted to know more about what we did for veterans in her community, so she picked up the phone and called. She spoke to Dr. Kim Cook, Executive Director for U.S.VETS – Barbers Point, about our mission and what the site does on a daily basis. Wanting to help out, Mrs. Atamian asked for a list of what the veterans need the most.

Happy 6th Birthday Logan! She went on to explain to her son Logan was about to turn 6 – and that instead of presents this year, he had asked to give gifts to less fortunate individuals. He asked his family members who were coming to his birthday party to bring donations for two chosen causes – including U.S.VETS – instead of toys and games for himself.

After his party, Logan came to U.S.VETS to drop off several boxes and bags of clothes, shoes, household items, canned goods, and more.  The staff and veterans of U.S.VETS were not only humbled to receive much needed items for its veterans, but were inspired by Logan’s selfless act of compassion at such a young age. He serves as an example of what random acts of kindness can do to change the life of others, and even more importantly serves as an example of inspiring others to do the same. We were thrilled to get to meet one of our youngest donors.

In the spirit of community, compassion, and giving, U.S.VETS – Barbers Point wants to extend a special thank you to the Atamian family for blessing the site with these gifts of Aloha!
